We hope that you, your family and community are keeping safe and well at this difficult time due to COVID-19. With continued outbreak of CORONA, we decided to host the CouFrac2020 as a fully virtual event. This decision is based on the current situation around the globe and it is very likely that many of international participants will not be able to travel to Korea. Since domestic participants and some of international participants can still attend the event, we will also have simultaneous offline meeting as well.
We strongly believe that the virtual CouFrac2020 event is an opportunity rather than a setback. Through the virtual CouFrac2020, we see a great advantage such as;
- Saving great amount of travel times,
- Access to all the presentations in parallel sessions through recorded video
- Access to presentation files (contingent on presenters’ consent)
- Better interactions between presenter and audiences & among participants through online Q&A and match making.
- Significantly reduced registration fees
We will make every efforts to make the virtual CouFrac2020 as an example of scientific conferences.
We received 90 abstracts from 16 countries so far. However, given the uncertain situation related to CORONA, we decided to accept the extended abstract from the authors who did not submit the abstract.
More detailed instruction about the virtual CouFrac2020 and changed schedule will be posted soon.
Thank you for your strong support and interest in CouFrac2020 and we look forward to seeing you either virtually or in person in November.

We are pleased to inform that the Virtual Conference Platform for CouFrac2020 will be ready soon. As previously announced, the CouFrac2020 will be held in a hybrid way, online and offline due to Covid19. In our virtual conference, all presentations will be provided via Live-streaming and (or) Pre-recorded video.
The Live stream presentations can be served either in the conference hall in Seoul National University or in the presenter’s preferred place using the Virtual Platform of CouFrac2020.
Pre-recorded presentations will be made available after the presentation.
Although many people are not familiar with the virtual conference yet, we are trying to make this virtual conference easily accessible, convenient and more effective than the conventional conferences. We anticipate all speakers and attendees can share ideas and communicate with each other online while saving the expenses and time required to travel. Additionally, many of the same benefits expected from conventional in-person conferences will be available to online presenters and attendees, including presenting one’s work to an international audience and engaging in Q&A, publishing in the Conference Proceedings, and participating in discussions with other scholars around the world.
The benefit of virtual conference is explained in the following.

The following is the important information for the CouFrac2020 Virtual Conference.
Our live-stream presentations will be provided through the platform 'Pathable'.
The Pathable uses 'Zoom' as it's live-stream platform. However, attendees are not required to create their own accounts and Zoom will be fully embedded in our system.
Attendees can ask questions in real time during presentation and are also able to send the presenters personal messages after the presentations.
Questions that the attendees ask will be kept in the Q&A chatting room. In addition, attendees who would like to have further discussions about the presentation with speakers can have a personal or group online video meeting after the presentation.
Our live-stream presentation will be recorded and made available right after the presentation.
More update will be available as we continue construct online platform
